Farrah Gafford Cambrice, PhD is Assistant Professor in the Division of Social Work, Behavioral and Political Sciences at Prairie View A&M University. Her research interests include race, class, community building, and disaster. Dr. Cambrice’s research on Hurricane Katrina has resulted in several peer-reviewed publications including the Journal of Black Studies, the Journal of Global Policy and Resilience, and the Journal of Urban History.
