Between the fall of 2017 and the spring of 2019, teams at Columbia University's Temple Hoyne Buell Center for the Study of American Architecture—including Eddy Almonte, Gauri Bahuguna, Daniel Becerril, Priya Bond, Laura Veit, and Isaac Warshauer—researched and produced the video "Infrastructures of Austerity," which outlines key facts related to the ongoing crisis related to the municipal water system and the use of "Emergency Management" in Flint, Michigan. This video was developed together with the participants of the March 2018 workshop "Infrastructure and Emergency Powers" in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
