Dana Kornberg

Dana Kornberg is an urban, economic, and environmental sociologist working as an ethnographer and qualitative researcher. Her research identifies how social inequalities are produced and reinforced through urban economies and infrastructures, connecting everyday processes to more general political-economic tendencies. In particular, Kornberg has analyzed how social practices connected to race, class, caste, and postcoloniality buttress vital urban infrastructures, including informal economies and solid waste systems in India and municipal water supplies in the United States.
