Kathleen Blackburn

Kathleen Blackburn grew up in Lubbock, Texas and now lives in Chicago where she writes about memory, religion, and "ugly" animals. She is a Research Associate at the UIC Freshwater Lab and contributor to Freshwater Stories. Additional work has appeared in Colorado Review, Crazyhorse, Gulf Coast, and others, with essays nominated for a Pushcart Prize and listed as "Notable" in Best American Essays.
